Hello Friends!

If you’re seeing this, then you are witnessing the first edition of the Kairos Christian Alliance Newsletter. We will be using this newsletter as a way to keep you informed on important issues at the local and state levels here in Tennessee. Our goal is to keep this newsletter informative and concise. We have no intention to waste any of your time with pointless content, so please be aware that each email will have important updates on elections, activist opportunities, and KCA event’s and promos. We have an exciting update on our September Conference at the bottom of this email as well!

For Now, let me draw your attention to our upcoming elections taking place in the coming weeks:

August 6th will be election day for most counties in Tennessee with early voting starting on July 17th. This election day is going to determine who represents you in your local government. Some of the offices up for election include County Mayor, County Commissioners, Trustee, Sheriff, County Clerk, and a few others. Those who live within city limits may be voting on city council members (sometimes called aldermen).

KCA has endorsed several candidates at the local level and we plan to announce more endorsements of candidates throughout the Upper Cumberland, so follow us on Facebook for the latest endorsements!

For now, we have endorsed the following candidates in Putnam County:

Randy Porter for County Mayor, Eddie Farris for Sheriff, Kerry Ledbetter for County Clerk, Gene Mullins for County Commission District 10, Jonathan A.D. Williams for County Commission District 1.

For the Cookeville City Council race, you will be allowed to select up to 5 candidates and the race is considered non-partisan (meaning none of the candidates will be listed as Democrat or Republican). We have endorse these 5 conservatives for the Cookeville City Council. In our opinion, there are no other conservatives running: Kelly Parkison, Luke Eldridge, Ali Bagci, Chad Gilbert, and Mason Harville.

The top 5 vote earners will be elected as the new city council. These 5 will then vote to decide which of them will serve as the Mayor and Vice Mayor of Cookeville.

Finally, another HUGE opportunity coming up is our Muscular Christianity Conference on Sept 26th. Early pricing is going on until the end of this month but we are anticipating that this event will sell out so PLEASE get your tickets ASAP!

In addition to a day of amazing speakers and panels, we are also announcing a pre-conference event with J Chase Davis where we will be discussing his book, Offensive Christianity. To celebrate we are doing a flash sale from now until Friday. Use the promo code OFFENSIVE at checkout for an extra 40% off your conference tickets!
